K&K Solutions
In early 2020, co-founders Kim Coplen and Kelli Johnson found themselves, like many others, navigating full-time office jobs while struggling to maintain a healthy work-life balance. “We knew we wanted to create a company that not only supported people at work but also made work a little more enjoyable,” says Kelli. This shared vision led to the founding of K&K Solutions.
Focusing on strategic planning and team-building events, Kelli and Kim worked with AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia’s (DC) 2021 Small Business Program to lay the foundation of their dream organization. As Kelli puts it, the program “gave us the confidence to work with customers and do all of those things you need to start a business.”
Now, K&K Solutions partners with organizations and individuals nationwide to deliver unique, engaging experiences. Assisting with the development of DEI initiatives and tailored engagement plans are also part of their repertoire. One standout example is a virtual holiday event where attendees learned sustainable gift-wrapping techniques from a Japanese American designer and artist.
With the goal of leading events for large and small companies, in the District and beyond, K&K still centers on their original vision: "We engage people, develop trusted partnerships, design solutions, and create energized workplaces where the mind, body, soul, and wealth consciousness thrive."
“Whether it’s a CEO or an hourly associate, we really want to bring happiness to people. An engaged associate is a happy associate—and that’s what inspires us every day.”
Grow and Go Local DC!
We provide resources to help develop small and local business enterprises, thus increasing the pool of qualified Certified Business Enterprises (CBEs) in the District. We mentor our Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and CBE service providers by giving them access to our network of business resources to accelerate their success and create jobs and revenue for the District.
Our program includes technical and general assistance to help local businesses file CBE applications. We value being a part of the District’s business community and firmly commit to supporting and strengthening it by providing opportunities for SBEs to thrive and by investing broadly to ensure economic success for District residents.
Look for notices of our special events, training sessions, and marketplace activities to strengthen business connections and encourage partnerships.
